This story is such a sweet, fun and heartfelt way to introduce children to the world of rescue animals, with a variety of dogs of all sizes and breeds. It also includes many real rescue dogs who's stories are being told through the very talented hands of the author and illustrator. I actually sat down and read it to my dog, then ordered a copy for a family member with a child because I felt it was so important to share. If you have a child who loves dogs, or you just love dogs yourself, grab a copy of this book! Even as an adult, it was fun to join Lucky on her adventure and see what she and her friends were up to!    Beth

This is a wonderful story, beautifully illustrated. A lesson in hope. Proof of magic. Love from community. A reminder to me, that loss is not lost. Big love little Lucky.

This story is really sweet, and the illustrations are beautiful and fun. My 3 year old loved the silly adventures the dogs went on. And we both loved how the dogs wanted to help the shelter dogs. I know it wasn’t the intention, but the book also paves the way for discussions about privilege and how we can help less fortunate people as well. Wonderful story all around!  Andi

As an elementary school educator, I can't say enough about this story. As a mentor text, it lends itself to lessons about character traits, descriptive language and story elements. I also loved the lessons it teaches young learners about kindness, gratitude and cooperation. The illustrations are colorful and engaging, too. There is no doubt that Lucky will delight young students and be the perfect picture book resource for teachers.  Michelle

My daughter absolutely loves this heart warming story that features many famous Saratoga landmarks and characters. She enjoys pointing out the various animals throughout the book and knows all of Lucky's friends names. The book's illustrations were also noted by one of my friends who is a librarian - they are beautiful and well done! Whitney

My family LOVES this book! Not only is Lucky adorable but my kids get a kick out of recognizing different parts of Saratoga! We’ve also bought this book for family who live out of town as it’s a great gift for a child and shares a bit of where we live! Breanna

This is a lighthearted story about friendship and teamwork. The personified animals sharing an adventure in the great outdoors are sure to get plenty of giggles from little readers. I found myself laughing out loud a time or two. My daughter really enjoyed it.

Such a cute creative story, and I love the idea of showing children how dogs can have fun with other dogs/pets and also help those in need as well! Children will love the pictures of the dogs have fun outdoor adventures, and pet lovers everywhere will love the wonderful message in this heartwarming story.

I read this book to my niece and nephew and they loved it!! It is their new favorite book. This is a great story and the illustrations are wonderful. Hopefully there are plans for Book 3! Can’t wait to see what Lucky’s next adventure is.     Janet
